EASY RELEASE
Speed system separation link
The EASY RELEASE is used to automatically disconnect the speed system when
using separation carabiners after reserve parachute deployment. The system
convinces by low construction height, weight neutrality compared to a standard
Brummel hook connection and durable, safe function.
Scope of delivery
2x Ring clip with speed system line for attachment to the paraglider
risers
2x Release hook with speed system line (static line) for attachment to the
speed system lines of the paragliding harness
Installation
1.
First, check if the Brummel hooks on your speed system lines can be
detached. If so, you can attach the ring clips of the EASY RELEASE instead
(see pictures).

If the Brummel hooks cannot be detached, remove the original speed
system lines with the Brummel hooks on the risers. Depending on the
design of your speed system, you may have to cut the lines for this purpose.
Then, install the ring clips of the EASY RELEASE with the speed system lines
instead of the original lines with Brummel hooks.

Adjust the line lengths so that the ring clips sit as close as possible
to the upper pulleys. Never adjust them so short that the lines are
under tension and cause pre-acceleration during flight. If the lines
are set too long, it may not be possible to use the full possible
length of the speed system, as the separation link may then be stopped
at the passage to the harness. Now, attach the lines with bowline knots
and simple securing knots at the free ends, tighten firmly and check
the position of the ring clips again.
If necessary, cut the free, protruding
line ends to approx. 2 cm.
4.
Attach the release lines of the EASY
RELEASE on the harness. Then, install
the speed system lines according
to your harness manufacturer's
instruction manual and adjust the
speed system line lengths.
5.
Snap the release hooks into the ring
clips. The EASY RELEASE separation
link is now ready for use! When the
separation carabiner is opened, the
