a) Direct input of the track number for CDs in MP3 format:

1. Press the A.P button once. The letters „MP3 T000" appear in the
display. The hundreds column fl ashes.
2. By turning the VOL multifunction button it is now possible to enter a
track number from 0 to 9 in the hundreds column.
3. Press the SEL button once. The tens column fl ashes. Please continue
as described under section 2.
4. Press the SEL button again briefl y in order to enter a fi gure in the units
column.
5. Press the SEL button for 1 second to complete entry of the track num-
bers. Immediately after this the selected track is played.
b) Keyword search function for CDs in MP3 format:
1. Press the A.P button twice. The letters „A - -" appear in the display. If a
track or a folder with this letter is found, the track is shown in the right
of the display (if the CD contains ID3 tag information).
2. By turning the VOL multifunction button you can now enter a letter from
A to Z or a number from 0 to 9.
2a. Within an initial letter you can also use the SKIP buttons 5 to search
through all tracks which begin with this letter (depending on the medi-
um).
3. Press the SEL button briefl y. The corrisponding track/folder is played
back briefl y.
c) Folder selection for CDs in MP3 format:
1. Press the A.P button three times. The word "ROOT" for main directory
appears in the display.
2. If subfolders are present you can now select these by turning the VOL
multifunction button.
3. Confi rm the selected folder by pressing the SEL button. The fi rst track
of the selected folder is played back.
3a. With the SKIP buttons 5 you can also select a track within a folder.
Confi rm the selection by pressing the SEL button.
Note: It is not possible to guarantee that CDs created by the user can be play-
ed back due to the large variety of software and CD media available.
During the normal playback of CDs in MP3 format the I
can be used to move up or down one track. Station buttons 5 and 6 can be
pressed to move up and down 10 tracks at a time.
9. Station buttons (1-6) of preselected stations and as
1 II, 2INT, 3RPT and 4RDM buttons during CD operation
a) Radio Operation
Pressing these buttons briefl y directly selects a preset radio station. If
these buttons are pressed for more than one second, the station currently
being listened to is stored under the selected station button.
