6.2 INSPECTION OF PIPEWORK ON
PREMISES
The instructions require the fresh water station
to be connected to the hot water, hot water
circulation and cold water pipework on the
premises.
• Check that
components in accordance with the
technical documentation
delivered.
• Check that the planned location of the
fresh water station is suitable. Plan any
openings and
pipework.

PROTECTIVE MEASURES

• Take protective measures if the work is
carried out during weather that may
cause damage.
• Protect your own work, including the
fresh water station if it could be
accidentally damaged during the contract
period.
• Fit protective covers/plug exposed pipe
ends on the fresh water station's primary
and secondary sides to protect against
dirt, damage, or foreign objects.
• Ensure that materials or auxiliary devices
in place do not obstruct access to or
conceal shut-off
equipment, fire hydrants, fire cabinets,
gullies, distribution boxes, measurement
points, etc.
• Keep the work area tidy and clean during
installation.
6.4 FLUSHING, PIPE CLEANING
• Clean the pipework connected to the
premises before connecting the fresh
water station.
• Components such as automatic air vent
valves and solenoid valves that may be
damaged during flushing must not be
connected or activated during flushing.
• Flush with mains tap water. Allow dirty
water to discharge into floor drains. Flush
for at least 30 minutes or until the water
discharged is clean.
