4.1. Connection of the special needs module with Behnke IP basic electronics
(20-0001A-IP, 20-0014A-IP, 20-0016A-IP, 20-0002A-IP, 20-0005-IP, 20-0041A-IP,
20-0013A-IP)
The special needs module is connected to the
basic electronics bus subscriber via bus clamps
(s. chapter "2. Connections" on page 37)
or
(cf. SIP basic electronics manual). Please note
that the connection clamps TX and RX each
need to be crossed. Connect the TX clamp of
the basic electronics with the RX clamp of the
special needs module and vice versa. Addi-
tional bus subscribers may be connected to the
remaining bus clamps. Again, please make sure
to cross the RX and TX clamps.

The status LEDs
show the bus state of
the respective bus ports and the operational
readiness of the special needs module. If the
respective LED is permanently lit, there is no
bus port fault; if it flashes, no other subscribers
are connected or there is a communication
problem.
