7. BIOS Update
You can download the latest driver for the DC-100 RAID controller from our
website www.dawicontrol.com. The BIOS and the flash utility are located under the
\BIOS folder in the driver directory. Reboot the system into DOS-mode and to the
\BIOS folder (update will not work under windows!). Type "flash100". Select the rigth
EPROM type and flashing will begin. Reboot the system after operation has
completed.

Question: Can I use ATA/66 and ATA/33 hard drives for an array?
Answer: Yes, the RAID Controller is backward compatible, but it is not
recommended.
Question: Will I need to disable the onbaord controol when using a DC-100 RAID
controller?
Answer: No, the RAID Controller works together with the onboard controller.
Question: I created an array with four 30GB drives in Win98, why does FDISK
only show up 51GB instead of 120GB?
Answer: Please ignore the message shown by FDISK, continue to create the
partition with the entire disk, after formatting the array with the windows
explorer, all 120GB are fully accesable.
Question: Can I use ATAPI devices on the RAID Controller?
Answer: No. This controller does not support ATAPI devices for reasons of
performance.
Question: Can I use an array created by another controller of another vendor?
Answer: No. The settings of the RAID modes may differ. You should reinstall the
array instead. Please note that the reinstallation will cause a data loss
on that array!
