5 Technical Description SC 1 are analog scanners for series 730, 730 - LO, 740, 740 - LO, KMGA 740 and KMGA 740 - LO pyrometers. The scanner may be used to scan temperatures in a line, instead of only one fixed target point. Typical scanner applications are measuring of thin oscillating wires or moving sheets and capturing the maximum temperature of bulk material or scaled metals.
With a movement to the upper right a smaller angle is set and with a movement to the lower left a larger angle is set. Scanning frequency The scanning frequency is in a range of 0.5 . . . 2 Hz adjustable. After removing the housing top, the scanning frequency can be set on the potentiometer inside the housing. SC 1...
9.2 Storage of the Scanner CAUTION: Environmental factors, impacts and the formation of water condensation may damage some compo- nents! Store the scanner only in dry areas without large variations in temperature! The atmosphere should be free of dust and corrosive vapors! SC 1...
Take the scanner out of operation as follows: 1. Switch off the power supply for the scanner. 2. Remove the connection cables. 3. Take the used pyrometer out of operation (as described in the appropriate operation manual). The scanner is thus out of operation. SC 1...
