PRIOR TO FIRST USE

Read the safety instructions through
carefully.
Unroll the coffee maker cord fully
before using it.
To rinse out the inside of the coffee
maker, fill the reservoir with water and
run it through the machine before you
use it to make coffee.
USE
Lift the cover (1) of the water reservoir
(2), and carefully pour in the required
quantity of water. Close the cover.
Place a filter (size 1 x 4) in the filter
funnel (3), and put coffee or tea in it.
Push the filter holder into place.

If you like, you can rinse out the inside
1.
of the thermal carafe (5) with boiling
water for approximately 5 seconds.
2.
This warms the thermal carafe up, so it
retains the heat better. Take care to
avoid scalds from boiling water.
Ensure that the cover for the carafe is
firmly closed and then place it under
the filter holder (3).
Switch on the coffee maker by pressing
the ON button (7). The indicator light (9)
will now come on and the coffee maker
starts.
Once the coffee is ready, the thermal
carafe can be taken out and placed on
the table. The automatic drip stop
function (4) ensures that coffee does
not drip from the filter onto the carafe
holder.
Always keep the carafe lid firmly closed
when not pouring the coffee to keep the
coffee hot for several hours.
The arrow on the carafe lid should be
pointing outwards when you are
pouring coffee.
Using the indicator button (6) on the
carafe handle you can – if you want –
specify whether the coffee in the carafe
is regular coffee (specified with the
letter R for "regular") or decaffeinated
(specified with the letter D for "decaf").
CLEANING
Before cleaning, remove the plug from
the wall socket and allow the coffee
maker to cool down.
The filter holder and thermal carafe can
be washed using normal washing-up
liquid.
The best way to clean the coffee maker
itself is to wipe it with a damp cloth
using hot water and a little washing-up
liquid. The coffee maker must not be
submerged in any form of liquid.
