CONNECTING THE SIGNAL GROUND
TERMINAL
If you connect the line level input jack then do not connect the
signal ground terminal.
÷ If you notice ground hum when the speakers are connected
connect the supplied ground cord between the signal ground
terminal and the receiver/amplifier. (See diagram A below.)
÷ If there is no signal ground terminal on your receiver/amplifier,
you can use one of the screws on the rear panel of the
receiver/amplifier. (See diagram B below.)

OPERATION
For details regarding operating part functions, refer to page 7.
1. Turn the POWER switch 1 ON.
÷ If the unit's power cord is connected to a switched AC outlet
on the stereo amplifier or receiver and the switch is left ON,
the unit can be turned ON/OFF together with the stereo
amplifier or receiver.
÷ If the unit cannot be connected to the stereo amplifier or
receiver, turn the power to the stereo amplifier or receiver
ON before turning the power to the unit ON. When turning
the power OFF, turn the power to the unit OFF before turning
the power to the stereo amplifier or receiver OFF.
2. Operate the stereo amplifier or receiver and adjust
the volume of the other speakers.
3. Adjust the volume of the bass with the VOLUME knob 5.
÷ When necessary, operate the CROSSOVER knob 4 and
PHASE switch 8, and then adjust with the VOLUME knob
5. Set the BASS MODE switch 3 to either MUSIC or
CINEMA.

RACCORDEMENT À LA BORNE DE
MASSE DU SIGNAL
Si l'on raccorde la prise d'entrée du niveau de ligne, ne pas
raccorder la borne de masse du signal.
÷ Si l'on constate un bourdonnement de masse lorsque les
haut-parleurs sont raccordés, brancher le cordon de masse
fourni entre la borne de masse du signal et l'ampli-tuner ou
l'amplificateur. (Voir le schéma A ci-dessus.)
÷ S'il aucune borne de masse du signal n'est prévue sur l'ampli-
tuner ou l'amplificateur, utiliser une des vis du panneau arrière
de l'ampli-tuner ou l'amplificateur. (Voir le schéma B ci-
dessus.)

FONCTIONNEMENT
Se reporter à la page 7 pour plus de renseignements sur les
fonctions des diverses bornes et commandes.
1. Mettre le subwoofer sous tension au moyen de
l'interrupteur POWER 1.
÷ Lorsque le cordon d'alimentation du subwoofer est branché
à une prise d'alimentation CA commutée de l'ampli-tuner ou
de l'amplificateur stéréo et que l'interrupteur est laissé à la
position ON, il sera possible de mettre le subwoofer sous/
hors tension avec l'ensemble de la chaîne.
÷ Si l'appareil ne peut pas être raccordé à l'amplificateur stéréo
ou à l'ampli-tuner, mettre l'amplificateur stéréo ou l'ampli-
tuner sous tension (ON) avant de mettre cet appareil sous
tension (ON). Lors de la mise hors tension, mettre cet appareil
hors tension (OFF) avant de couper l'alimentation (OFF) de
l'amplificateur stéréo ou de l'ampli-tuner.
2. Faire fonctionner l'amplificateur stéréo ou l'ampli-
tuner et ajuster le volume des autres haut-parleurs.
3. Ajuster le volume des graves par le bouton VOLUME
5.
÷ Lorsque nécessaire, utiliser le bouton de réglage
CROSSOVER 4 et le sélecteur PHASE 8 et régler ensuite
le volume avec le bouton VOLUME 5. Régler le sélecteur
BASS MODE 3 sur MUSIC ou sur CINEMA.
