1. SWITCHING ON THE MACHINE
1.1 The machine does not start working:
check the electric feeding. Check that emergency switches are pulled out.
Attention: all electric components are protected by fuses. In case of misfunction
of one component check its fuse. If burnt, it is not enough to replace it but the
cause has to be found.
2. EXPOSURE AND DRYER
2.1 The vacuum pump does not work:
check that it is electrically fed, check the fuse and all the current path from the
source. In case of lack of electricity at the source, CR3 board is defective.
2.2 The vacuum does not reach an acceptable value:
replace the vacuum sheet, check the connections of the suction pipes.
2.3 The temperature in the dryer is not reached or it is reached too slowly:
if the temperature is not reached check the fuse and all the current path from the
source. If there is a lack of electricity at the source, CR3 board is defective.
If the temperature is reached too slowly, one of the heaters does not work.
2.4 All the lamps of a section do not light:
check the current path from the source. If there is a lack of electricity at the source
CR3 board is defective.
The high technology of the computers allows to know, at any time, the working hours
of the lamps.
This allows the user to plan the maintenance and the replacement of parts subject to
wear and tear in due time.
Below is a table, in working hours and number of processed plates, to be followed to
keep the machine in full working order.
Exposure and dryer (see "Other programs")
- each 400/500 hours replace lamps and starters of the main exposure;
- each 600/700 hours replace lamps and starters of the post-exposure;
- each 800/1000 hours replace UVC lamps and starters;
- each 1000/1200 hours replace the heaters of the dryer;
- each 500/600 hours check and lubricate the bearings of the exposure and post-exposure
drawers. The long exposure to UVA and UVC rays thwarts the lubricant action.
Each 2000 hours (more than 6000 processed plates) a general inspection is needed
to:
- check wear and tear of all the cooling fans, to be replaced if necessary;
- check wear and tear of the electric parts, to be replaced if necessary;
- replace the relay board.
