Setting the stack operation mode
If the Business Policy Switch is in a stack with BayStack 450 switches, you must set the stack
operation mode before you add the Business Policy Switch to the stack.
To set the stack operation mode:

From the Main Menu, choose Switch Configuration > Stack Operation Mode.

On the Stack Operation Mode menu, select Hybrid Stack as the Next stack operational mode.
Current stack operational mode: Pure BPS 2000 Stack
Next stack operational mode: [
Use space bar to display choices, press <Return> or <Enter> to select
choice. Press Ctrl-R to return to previous menu.
return to Main Menu.

Press Ctrl-C to return to the Main Menu.
4 From the Main Menu, press R to reset the switch.
Note: In a hybrid or mixed stack, one (and only one) Business Policy Switch must be set
as the base unit.
