NIGHT WATCH BINOCUTAR

Tasco's Night Watch
binocular
is designed
for observation
of
animate
objects or terrain
in
twilight, darkened
conditions, or with
the
use of
the infra-red
illuminator, in total
darkness.
The visibility
range
depends on ambient
light intensity, nature of
the
objects
observed, contrast
between
object and
background and
transparency of atmosphere. lt
is
especially
useful for
wildlife observation,
security, law
enforcement,
search
and
rescue,
boating, etc.
The
Night
watch
monocular
is
operable
at
temperatures from -25"
c.
(''|3'
F)
to +40"
c.
(104"
F).
When
using
the
unit
at
cold
temperatures,
it
is
recommended
that you
keep
the
batteries
in
your
pocket
and
insert
them
into
the
binocular
just
before
actual
use.

NOTE: When
the binocular is
brought
from the cold
into a
warm
environment,
the
unit
must be allowed
to warm
up
for
up
to 2
hours
before
it is
turned
on again.
PREPARATION FOR USE
1.
Remove
the
binocular from
the
case.
2.
lnstall
batteries as follows:
a.
Unscrew Battery
Compartment Caps
(D)
and
insert
2
"AA" batteries
with the
positive
poles
facing
inward
(Fig.
1).
b.
Replace battery
compaftment
caPS.
3.
Remove
the
lens
caps
(E) from
the objective
lenses.
4.
Grip binoculai
body
firmly with both
hands
and
bend
body
until
you see
one
circle
of
view
through
the eyepieces
(A). You
have
now set
the interpupillary
distance
for your
vision
(Fig.
2).
5.
To
check
functioning
of
the
binocular:
a.
Turn
binocular away
from bright
light and
then
press
the
Power On/Off Button (G).
b.
Look
through the
eyepieces
and an
image
encompassed
in a
greenish
glow
will
be
observed
if
the unit
is
fully
functional.
7.
Having determined
that the unit
is
fully functional,
it is
now
ready
for
use.

Bright light
sources
(the
moon,
headlights,
etc.)
may cause
visibility
to
decrease,
completely
disappear or
possibly
damage the unii.
Should
this
occur, "nove the
monocular away from

light
source immediately
and
the
image
should
be restored

Being sure
that the objective
lens
caps
have
been
removed,
view through the
eyepiece
and
press
the on
button so
that the unit
is
activated.
Dark or
white spots may
be
observed
in
the field
of view.
They do
not
affect
image
quality and should
not
be
allowed
to
interJere
with
observation..

NOTE: lt
is normal for
the
unit
to flash
within the
first 2
minutes
of activation.

continues,
the environment may
be
too
bright.
Aim the
binocular at
the
desired
object
so as
to position it
in
the center
of the
field
of
view.

NOTE:
The
resolving power
(resolution)
may
vary slightly
as
the
image shifts from
the
center to
the
perimeter of
the field
of
view
This
is
an
inherent
feature
of
the
image
tube type
utilized in
this device. For best
resolution, keep
the subject
of observation
centered
in the
field
of view.
To
focus,
close
your
left
eye and
rotate
the
right
eyepiece
until
the object
being viewed
is
sharp
and clear.
Open
left
eye, close
right
eye.
Rotate left
eyepiece
until
the
image
is
sharp and
clear. Note diopter
scale
(B) settings for
future
use.
When there
is little
or
no
ambient
light,
the illuminator
must be activated.
For
use of
the llluminator (F),
press
the
llluminator
On/Off Button
(C).
When finished viewing,
release
the On button
(and
the
llluminator button
if
the
llluminator has been utilized).
Replace
the objective
lens
covers and
place the
binocular
in its case.
