Installation
•
The installation location must be as free from vibrations as possible. Compliance with the permitted
ambient temperature (working or operating temperature) is mandatory (see

Operating outside the permitted operating-temperature range can lead to failures and to outages of the
wide-range power supply unit.
•
Plastic case, overvoltage category III as per DIN EN 61010 Part 1.
•
The wide-range power supply unit can be snapped onto a 35-mm DIN rail (as per DIN EN 50022).
•
The device is approved only for operation in enclosed housings or cabinets.

The wide-range power supply unit may only be installed in locations which are accessible exclusively to
qualified personnel.
Connection
•
During electrical installation work, the regulations for setting up high-voltage systems must be observed.
•
The supply voltage must be connected as per VDE 0100 and VDE 0160.
•
The auxiliary voltage of the device is to be provided with an external disconnecting device (switch) to
disconnect the power supply as well as with a protection equipment (fuse, 2 A, time delay).
•
The external disconnecting device must be marked. It is also possible for a automatic circuit breaker to
perform both functions.
•
The conductor cross-section (1-wire conductor or stranded wire) is 1.5 mm
•
Recommended stripping length: 5 mm.

If a stranded wire is used, bootlace ferrules with insulation must be used (to prevent loose strands).
