2.1 Functional Units
The wide-range power supply unit is a hardwired and tested functional unit. The device has a snap-on fastener
for a 35-mm DIN rail as per DIN EN 50022. The auxiliary power supply, the electrical consumer, and the
voltage monitoring relay can be connected to the terminals. The devices contain no silicone, are halogen-free
and flame-resistant (UL94-V0).
Short-Circuit Case
The output of the wide-range power supply unit is short-circuit-proof for an unlimited time. To be ready for
operation again after a short circuit lasting more than 100 ms, the wide-range power supply unit must be swit-
ched off or operated in idle state for more than 30 seconds.
Switching the Device on and off
After the device has been switched off and the GOK relay has dropped out, the wide-range power supply unit
must remain switched off for 3.5 seconds before it can be switched on again. If less than this time elapses, the
power supply unit must remain switched off for 5 minutes. It is possible to apply power to activate the device
only after this time has elapsed.
