For best results:
1) Always use the correct size impact type socket.
2) Use extra deep sockets in place of extension bars where possible.
3) Do not use oversized, worn or cracked sockets.
4) Hold the wrench so the socket fits squarely on the fastener. Hold the wrench firmly, but not too tightly, pressing forward slightly.
AIR SUPPLY
Use a clean lubricated air supply that will give a measured air pressure at the tool of 90 p.s.i./6.2 bar when the tool is running with the trigger fully
depressed and the air regulator in its maximum opening flow position. It is recommended that the tool is connected to the air supply as shown in
figure 1. Do not connect the tool to the air line system without incorporating an easy to reach and operate air shut off valve. The air supply should be
lubricated. It is strongly recommended that an air filter, regulator, lubricator (FRL) is used, as shown in Figure 1, as this will supply clean, lubricated air
at the correct pressure to the tool. Details of such equipment can be obtained from your supplier.
HOSE AND HOSE CONNECTIONS
The air supply hose recommended is 3/8" (10mm) I.D. If an extension hose is necessary, use 1/2" (13mm) ID hose with couplings not less than 3/8"
(10mm) I.D.
LUBRICATION
For maximum performance and tool life, an air line lubricator, set to deliver 4 drops per minute, is recommended. SIOUX No. 288 Air Motor Oil is
recommended.
If an airline lubrication is not used, it is recommended that the tool be oiled daily before use to improve performance. Add 2-4 drops of air motor oil and
run the tool for 10-20 seconds to distribute oil through the tool.
Lubricate through the grease fitting with Castrol Molub-Alloy 860/460-2ES after 100 hours of operation.

MAINTENANCE

Water, dust and other airline contaminants can cause rust and vane sticking. For long periods between tool use, flush the tool with 5 ml of oil and run for
10 seconds. This will help remove contaminants and reduce the formation of rust.
DISMANTLING & ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Disconnect tool from air supply. Remove Hex. Bolt (22) then Screw (39) by using a screw driver. Loosen screws (14) by using a Screw driver. Remove
hammer case (1), o-ring (34), spring bushing (33) and pull out trigger (53). Loosen Hex. Bolts (37) and remove rear bearing plate (30), rotor (28) and
blades (27). Remove spring pin by using a hammer with a small pin. Use a wrench to loosen air inlet (52). Remove exhaust deflector (49), spring (47).
Remove hammer frame (7) from hammer case (1), remove gasket (8), pull out hammer pins (5), turn around anvil (4) and remove hammers (6).
REASSEMBLY
Clean and examine all parts for wear and replace any parts with parts obtained from manufacturer or authorized distributor. All parts must be dry.
Check that all bearings run smoothly and reassemble all tool parts in reverse order. Pump grease by using a mini grease gun into the grease fitting (9) .
Connect tool to a suitable air supply (90 psi preferred) and run tool slowly for 5 seconds to allow the grease to circulate
