INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF YOUR SWISS CUCKOO CLOCK
ENGLISH
Read these instructions completely before assembly. It is very important to follow them exactly to avoid
damaging the clock.
MOST IMPORTANT: UNPACK THE CLOCK WITH CARE DO NOT OPEN THE SMALL PAPER BAG FIXED
TO THE BOTTOM OF THE CLOCK!!! THE CLOCK MUST NOT TURNED UPSIDE DOWN OTHERWISE THE
CHAINS MIGHT SLIP OFF THE CHAIN-WHEELS.
1. When removing the clock from the Box, please lift it by its roof (1-4). Carefully remove the loose
accessories (separately wrapped) which will include the pendulum and the weights, etc.
2. Remove - depending on the model – the one or two clamps and the paper strip.
These are clearly marked <PULL OUT> and should slide out easily (5-6).
3. Now hang up the clock (12) on a strong nail or screw fixed to the wall at a height
of about 2 meters (6 feet) from the floor.
4. Open the packet underneath the clock; this contains the chains (7-8). Gently pull out the restraining
wire which blocks the chain links. Possible knots in the chains should be undone very cautiously.
5. Twist open the wire lock securing the door of the cuckoo, in the case of two doors,
both wires need to be turned (9).
6. Hang the pendulum onto the wire loop hanging through the clock base and hang each of the
wights to a respective chain hook. The clock must be hung in a correct vertical position so that
the pendulum can swing freely (10-12).
YOUR CLOCK IS NOW READY FOR OPERATION
For setting the correct time, turn the minute-hand (the longer hand) around counter-clockwise (to the
left). If you turn the minute-hand clockwise (to the right) you will have to wait for the cukoo`s strike
before advancing further; in the case of a Musical Cuckoo Clock you must await the end of the music
to avoid damaging the mechanism (13-14).
