2.1. Operation

The Hygro-Presence
used in combination with a ComfoFan
system. Having Hygro-Presence sensors
in all other rooms is optional. The Hygro-
Presence sensor can be programmed to
respond to resident presence, ambient
humidity or both. View which mode
the Hygro-Presence sensor is set to by
pressing once on the settings button.
Resident present mode
If the resident present mode is on, only
the resident present LED will light up after
the settings button is pressed. In resident
present mode, the Hygro-Presence sensor
sends a signal to the domestic fan when
the Hygro-Presence
movement. The domestic fan will continue
to be operated on maximum as long as
movement is detected. Once there is no
longer any movement being detected,
the fan will continue to run at maximum
throughout its time delay period (equals
occupancy time) for a maximum of 30
minutes. The resident present mode is
best used in the toilet.

Ambient humidity mode
If the ambient humidity mode is on, only
the humidity LED will light up after the
settings button is pressed. In the ambient
humidity mode,
sensor monitors the humidity produced
by the persons present in the room. Based
on the moisture concentrations detected,
air quality is determined and a signal sent
to the domestic fan. The domestic fan will
then ventilate for as long as is needed to
reach the preset ambient humidity. Once
the ambient humidity has been reduced,
the domestic fan will run at a lower speed.
The volume of ventilation is indicated by
the intensity of the humidity LED. If the
humidity LED is off, ventilation is set to
minimum, and when the humidity LED
is on full, the ventilation is on full. The
ambient humidity mode is best used in all
living areas except the toilet.

If both the resident present and ambient
humidity modes are programmed, then
both LEDs will light up when the settings
button is pressed. Both functions will then
be operated simultaneously. The domestic
fan responds to the highest signal sent by
all the connected sensors.
