Operating instructions
Safety Instructions
Prior to putting the airbrush into operation, read the operating instructions
completely and thoroughly. Inappropriate use of the airbrush, modification of
any kind or combination with inappropriate other parts may cause material
damage, serious hazard to the user's, other person's or animal's health over
even death. Harder & Steenbeck shall not take any responsibility for such
damages.
Never point airbrushes at yourself, at other persons or animals.
Prior to putting the unit into operation, especially after each cleaning and each
repair, check the airbrush for accurate function.
Handle the needle with caution as it is extremely sharp and can cause harm.
Read and follow instructions for paints and thinners carefully.
Always disconnect the airbrush from the air supply before you dismantle it.
An airbrush is not a toy! Do not allow children to play with it.
General information for the COLANI airbrush
The COLANI airbrush is of a fully new design, manufactured from the highest
quality materials using CAD and CNC manufacturing techniques. Because all
our manufacturing takes place within our factory, we can guarantee the hig-
hest standards in quality.
Our products are designed so that they are easy to use, and are ergonomic,
robust, and universal in use.
Every airbrush is subject to stringent quality controls, and is tested before leav-
ing our factory.
Function
The COLANI airbrush uses the so called "coupled double action" lever control,
by pulling back the opperation lever, air is first gradually released, by pulling
the lever further the colour is released.
Air connection and paints
To connect the airbrush to an hose and appropriate air supply use the quick
release coupling NW 2.7mm (available from an authorized stockist or from
Harder and Steenbeck).
The hose can either be connected to the airbrush below the handgrip, or
directly onto the airbrush body, first remove the plastic handgrip by pulling it
downwards and remove the metal pipe by using the universal spanner.
The air pressure should be adjusted between 1.5 and 3 bar, the recommen-
