Listening through headphones

Insert the headphone plug into the headphones jack.
÷ Headphones with a stereo mini plug can be con-
nected.
÷ The sound from all speakers are cut off.
Muting the sound temporarily (MUTE)
Only from the remote control unit
÷ Press again to resume the original volume.
÷ This is also canceled when the volume is changed.
Tone adjustment
The lower and higher frequency bands can be
adjusted independently.

Select the frequency band.

"TREBLE" (high frequency) adjust-
ment

(Go to step 2 within 20 seconds.)

÷ The levels of both "BASS" and "TREBLE" can be ad-
justed in 2 steps in the range between – 8 and +8.
÷ The TONE and EX.BASS feature cannot be active at
the same time.

Each press switches the mode as follows.
1 "EX.BASS" lights
Low frequency sounds are enhanced.
"EX.BASS ON" appears on the display.
2 "EX. BASS" goes off
Sound is enhanced by the TONE control.
"SOUND MODE OFF" appears on the
display.
÷ The TONE and EX.BASS feature cannot be active at
the same time.
Set the balance. (BALANCE feature)
This feature balances the sound between the left and
right speakers.
