1 OVERVIEW
SIRENYA sirens are the key components of an alarm system that sound, flash light and play voice recording to alert that an intrusion is taking place outdoors while
deterring the intruder. These wall mounted sirens do not require any wiring/electric connection and should be installed where they are difficult to reach in order
to avoid that they are deliberately damaged. These two-way SIRENYA sirens are able to play any recorded voice messages and/or noises, such as dog barking, for
warning and deterrence purposes.
2 FUNCTIONS
Once programmed, a siren responds only to the radio control signals sent by its control panel and will transmit any tamper attempt to the control panel. If no voices
messages are recorded, the siren will sound low intensity (volume is adjustable using BEEP trimmer - see figures) intermittent sound lasting the same time as the
recordings.
a) A pre-alarm is enabled during entry delay with voice message 1 sounding followed by the alarm.
b) The alarmed siren sounds for 3 minutes while the strobe light flashes at about 40 flashes a minute at each alarm cycle.
c) The outdoor alarm is received by the control panel and the 20 seconds voice message 2 sounds for 3 minutes while the strobe light flashes. Caution! This function
is not compliant.
d) The siren supplies the following beeps to report its condition: 3 beeps with strobe light flashing when armed - 1 beep with strobe light flashing when disarmed;
e) 1 long beep when system is disabled with tamper exclusion for maintenance operations;
f) 1 beep when casing is properly closed after installation;
g) 6 beeps to confirm that programming was successfully performed;
h) Low battery level (6,4V): this signal is radio transmitted to the control panel and reported with repeated beeps each time system is armed and disarmed.
3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: Dimensions-Weight-Casing-Temperature-Power-Electric Consumption-Acoustic power: see figures.
a) Average battery life: over 2 years without mains supply. Battery life may significantly decrease when system is armed/disarmed several times every day and/or
in the event of many alarms being triggered.
b) Radio transmission/reception: digital, factory encoded frequency compliant Dual Band operations that are handled through microprocessor's self-learning
capability. Open fields transmission range: 100m without any background noise or radio interference. Device's location compared to premise structure and/
or radio frequency interference can significantly decrease range. Caution: always check that there is enough range in the installation site before completing
installation.
c) These sirens send a Dual Band supervision and battery level signal about every 28 minutes.
d) Sirens also send a TAMPER alarm when the casing is opened and/or detached from the wall and/or attempts to forcefully open it take place.

4 INITIAL SETUP

A double programming must be performed since SIRENYA is a 2-way siren. We recommend that the following operations be performed when the control panel has
already been installed and the siren is located in the installation site in order to check radio range. Perform the following operations:
a) Open siren(see figures).
b) Enable tamper protection if required (see figures) and enable the control panel's ZONE TECHNICAL ALARM mode to allow it to receive SIRENYA's signal.
c) Connect the battery power-pack. The control panel beeps once to confirm that programming has been successfully performed after MSG1 and MSG2 LEDs have
blinked. Siren may be out of radio range should this not occur. Change installation site and place siren closer to the control panel. This initial setup enables
Sirenya to report battery level and any tamper attempts to the control panel.
d) Record the two messages using the board's keys as follows (use the MSG trimmer to adjust message's volume):
SEL: press this key repeatedly to toggle selection between message 1 and message 2 (relevant LED will blink or turn on)
PLAY: press this key to listen to the selected message (only when message has been recorded - LED is turned on)
REC: press and hold this key to record the selected message (only when no message has been recorded - LED blinks)
ERASE: press and hold until LED turns off in order to delete the recorded message (message recorded = LED on).
5 INSTALLATION
You can disconnect the battery power-pack to install the siren more comfortably. Performed programming will not be deleted.
a) Install a jutting dowel on the wall (see the figures) at the same level of the siren's REAR TAMPER ensuring that the switch may not be held down by sliding a blade
behind the housing once siren has been secured to the wall. (EN 50131 ).
b) Secure the siren to the wall as required using the supplied screws and dowels and taking into account aforementioned Overview statements.
c) Install the battery power-pack, connect it and close the first lid using its screws.
d) Close the second lid. You will hear a beep if the tamper switch has been properly enabled.
e) Caution! Should you not hear this beep, check that siren has been securely fixed to the wall, that the wall keeps tamper switch down and that the inner tooth
presses against the tamper contact when the lid is closed.
6 SECOND SETUP
Siren's strobe light begins to flash quickly awaiting control panel's signal once the lid is closed. Enable siren by simply arming or disarming the control panel.
Successful activation will be confirmed as described in item 2 g).
7 REPLACING BATTERIES: enable control panel's TEST mode to replace battery pack. Batteries need to be replaced within 3-4 days from when low battery signal is
reported. This second setup will take place the first time the control panel is armed or disarmed.
8 TESTING: see instructions of the Silenya HT control panel being used to test siren's sound and radio transmission.
