Preparing the Screwdriving
control AST5
Input a IP-address into the Screwdriving control
AST5. Your IT-personnel generally supply such an
IP-address.
At delivery, the following address is input:
IP-Address: 10.10.25.100
Net Mask: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 10.10.20.9
The IP-address can be changed within menu
"System -> Setup -> Setup 7/10 Screwdriving control
AST5 addresses".
To change the IP-address, proceed as follows:

Enter the four numbers of ip-address, subnet
mask and Gateway by touching the
corresponding input fields.

Leave menu by touching "Back" button
The system automatically restarts and the display
indicates „Rebooting AST5 ...".
Preparing the PC and Browser
The browser needs to be able to correspond with the
Screwdriving control AST5, which means

the IP-address of the Screwdriving control AST5
has to be accessible.

the HTTP-protocol may not be deactivated.

the proxy settings for the IP-address (or local
addresses altogether) of the Screwdriving control
AST5 must be deactivated.
The browser must be able to accept cookies from the
Screwdriving control AST5 and Java script must be
activated.
The IT-department has to determine the validity of
any used IP-address.
If unclear, please contact your IP-department.

Input an IP-Address

(Example based on Windows)

Click on your control panel.

Open the „Network Connections".

Click on „LAN-Connection" or „Make a new Con-
nection".

Select the box „Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and
click on „Properties".

Activate „use the following IP-address" and input
the IP-address, the network mask and any other
data as needed for your network. The address
must be fixed and both Screwdriving control AST5
and PC must have a different IP-address.
If needed, click on the Button „Advanced" and then
„Add..." to input an additional IP-address (for example:
if the net access of the computer is in a different net or
net-segment as the Screwdriving control AST5).
Browser-Adjustment for the

Proxy Server
(Example based on Internet Explorer 6)
Open the Menu Item Tools ->
Internet Options -> Connections
Click on the Button LAN-settings -> Settings
If the item „Use a proxy server for your LAN" is se-
lected, then also activate the box „Bypass proxy
server for local addresses",
or
click the button „Advanced" and add the IP-address of
the Screwdriving control AST5 to the area „Excep-
tions".
Additional browser-adjustments:
If your system is adjusted to NOT allow cookies, then
select Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Privacy ->
Advanced Privacy Settings -> Per Site Privacy Action
and click the "allow"-button.
Now, it is possible to start the web-interface by typing
the IP-address of the Screwdriving control AST5 into
the "address" area on the browser.
