SERVICING

Items required:
- Recharging salts,
- Water hardness testers,
- A cleaning product for the water softener.
WHEN IS SERVICING REQUIRED?
The water softener should be regularly serviced in order to ensure that the salt supply is sufficient for operation, to
prevent bacteriological infection of the softened water and to ensure that the water softener operates properly
throughout its life cycle.
If the water softener is not used for more than 10 days, it should be cleaned using a suitable product.
ELEMENTS THAT NEED SERVICING
The salt box: Check that the salt reserve is sufficient for the proper operation of the water softener.
The resin cylinder can be affected by bacteria that prevent the resins from acting effectively and are dangerous for
water consumption.
The recharge programmer: Check that the clock is properly set.
SERVICING ACTIONS
· Every 3 months, check the salt reserve (must not fall below 1/3 of the box depth). The brine must never be visible
above the salt. Also check the clock setting and the hardness of the water delivered by the softener, which should be
between 7° and 12° TH.
· Every 6 months, check the filter clogging and change the cartridge if necessary.
· Every 6 months or following a long period without use, pour a dose of antiseptic cleaning product into the water
softener and then run a manual recharge, before restarting the water softener.
