Distance of the object ( m ) x Azimuth
Object length (m) =
100
Example:
The distance to the front sailing ship is 1200 m. The sailing ship is located on
the graticule between the horizontal scale values 0 and 2. Thus, the horizon-
tal visual angle is 2 graduation lines / 20 lines.
1,200 m x 2
Ship length =
= 24 m

MAINTENANCE AND CARE
The prism binoculars require no special care, they are virtually maintenance-
free. Optic external surfaces must be cleaned with a fine brush or a soft
cloth if necessary. Coarse dirt particle should be rinsed off or blown off
before wiping. An excessive rubbing when brushing the optical parts can
destroy the anti-reflection coating. No chemical solvents should be used and
the binoculars should be stored dry!
