With commercial use, regular
checks of the ladder must be
performed by an appropriately
qualified person.
When positioning the ladder,
bear in mind the risk of collisi-
ons, e.g. with pedestrians, vehi-
cles or doors. If possible, lock all
doors (but not emergency exits)
and windows in the work area.
Warning, electrical risk
Ascertain whether there are any
risks from electrical equipment
in the work area, e.g. high-vol-
tage cables or other exposed
equipment. Do not use the lad-
der if risks arise due to electrical
current.
If work with electrical voltage is
unavoidable, do not use conduc-
tive ladders.
Do not use the ladder as a brid-
ge.
Do not change the construction
of the ladder.
Do not move the ladder while
anyone is on it.
If used outdoors, be aware of
wind
If a ladder is supplied with sta-
bilising beams and these beams
are to be fitted by the user befo-
re first use, this needs to be
indicated on the ladder and in
the instructions for use.
