LOVE STORY
According to your desires for your bathroom, the Love Story bathtub can be enclosed with either a Ravak plastic frontal
panel that absolutely matches the bathtub or can be built-in by traditional brick, plaster/tile techniques.
INSTALLATION OF BATHTUB
Before commencing work, you will require a M12 spanner, silicon putty and a measuring tape or ruler.
1
. The bathtub is preferably for installation in a completely finished bathroom with completed wall and floor tiles, plumbing
and electrical works and a sound and flat floor area. In the event that the wall tiles do not reach the floor, they should extend
to at least 150 mm below the top edge of the bathtub rim
2
. If the bathtub is to be built-in to a frontal brickwork support, the profile of the brickwork should replicate the shape of the
bathtub and must be finished so that the upper surface is 2-3 mm below the bottom edge of the bathtub rim (and nominally
567 mm up from the floor) and overlapping internally by a maximum of 20 mm. See
When building the frontal brickwork, it is important to leave an access hole for the siphon waste-pipe and water pipes for the
taps. This access hole can be covered by tiles, a magnetic panel or small door etc.
3
. The water pipes should be either
above the floor level and situated in a position that is most convenient for the user. Bathtub-mounted taps should be fitted in
an appropriate position that corresponds with the bathtub shape and stop-cocks should be fitted in the plumbing system.
(See

for dimensional assistance).
4
. The waste-pipe diameter should be
be fitted. Site the waste-pipe so
that it will not interfere with the bathtub supports.
B/ Support fitting procedure
5
. Turn the bathtub upside down and lay it on a sheet of protective material (e.g. expanded polystyrene sheet or soft blanket
etc.) so that no damage may occur to the outer surfaces of the bathtub while the fitting work takes place.
6
. According to
picture 3
, measure the positions for the metal support frames & . Draw a line on the bottom (underside)
of the bathtub, a centre line from the middle of the siphon hole through the centre of the bathtub profile.
7
. From the centre of the siphon hole, measure along the central line, points at 160 mm and 810 mm. From these two points,
mark two lines at right angles which will be the markings for position of the metal support frames & . Insert the adjustable
leg bolts into the end holes of the support frames & and fit loosely the three nuts to each, followed by the adjustable
7
plastic legs .

on the inner side of the support frames. Position the support frames so that the short one is closest to the siphon hole and
the long one is toward the centre of the bathtub. The support frames should also be laid approximately along the marked
2
lines of the bathtub and with the two hole ends toward the curved side of the bathtub, not the wall side. Fit the long profile
over the two central adjustable leg bolts using the last hole of the profile at the siphon end, fit one nut to each bolt above the
profile and finally fit the adjustable plastic leg with a locking nut.
8
. Align the support frame assembly so that it corresponds with the drawn lines and the profile parts are square to the central
line. Mark the holes for the eight self-tapping screws

. Using the supplied

bathtub which is not laminate re-inforced otherwise damage to the inside of the bathtub may occur.
10
. Apply some silicon putty to the bottom of the bathtub, roughly along the drawn lines, where the support frame will sit.
This will level the surface for the support frame, should there be any imperfections.
11
. Screw the complete metal support frame, parts & in place using the self-tapping screws
support to the last hole of the support profile , using one nut each side of the profile, a third nut abutting the plastic support
8
leg. The short plastic support touches the bathtub rim at the end.
5
12
. Apply a little silicon putty between the face of this last support and the underside of the bathtub rim. Adjust this bolt
assembly so that the support just touches the rim but without deforming it.
C/ Mounting bathtub with a plastic panel
If the bathtub is to be installed with a plastic panel, follow the instructions included with the panel. If the bathtub is to be installed differently, e.g. if it is to be fitted into a brick
or wooden construction or a different material, please ensure that the bathtub is adequately protected from any scratches or general damage during the construction
process. How to level the bathtub: By turning the seven plastic legs which should now be fitted to the seven threaded bolts, the height and level can be set. The nominal
height of the bathtub all around from under the bottom of the rim to the floor should be 567-570 mm. We recommend to fit the bathtub with a Ravak high flow, low profile
siphon assembly with remote overflow and siphon control
instructions. Connect the fexible waste pipe to the siphon before final installation of the bathtub. The maximum height of the centre of the waste pipe from the floor must be
no more that 80 mm.
D/ Placement and connecting bathtub
13
. Carefully turn the bathtub and support frame over onto the fitted feet. Put into the final position and adjust the height to 567-570 mm all around from under the rim to the
floor ensuring that the bathtub is also level in both axis according to section C above. Be aware that the top edge of the bathtub rim is not completely level as the design
allows for water to run off, therefore, all measurements should be taken from the underside of the bathtub rim. Tighten all the nuts including the locking nuts which abut the
plastic support legs. Draw a line on the back and side wall from the top edge of the bathtub rim. Mark on the wall and on the bathtub rim, four equal positions for the plastic
clips
6 (picture 1 cross-section A-A and picture 2)
each place) plus 15 mm. Make marks on the wall and drill four holes
edge of the clip pointing upwards.
14
. Before final placement of the bathtub, stick the self-adhesive molitan strip
a support for silicon putty. Apply silicon to the top side of the clips and replace bathtub into its final position, ensuring that the rim fits properly over the clips.
15
. Install the siphon and connect to the waste pipe. If using bath-mounted taps, connect as necessary. Apply silicon putty to the space between the bathtub rim and the
wall tiles. Also apply silicon putty to the top edge of the front wall support, if this system is used as an alternative to the front panel
bath with minimum 100 litres of water and leave for 12 hours until the silicon sets. At the same time, check once more that the support legs are touching the floor properly. If
installing the bathtub with a panel, follow the panel fitting instructions.
