6. Assembly

Unpack the barbecue and all of the accessories, and verify that the package contents are
complete. Remove the protective film. Keep the packaging material away from children and
dispose of it in an environmentally-friendly manner.
No tools are required to assemble the barbecue.
Proceed as follows to assemble the barbecue:
 Push in the two locking bolts (4) on the outside of the barbecue at the same time and unfold the
stand (1). See Figure A.
 Now swing out the two side parts (5). Secure the side parts (5) with the locking clips (6) on the
outside of the stand (1). See Figure B.
 Now unfold the charcoal bowl (2) by folding out the two long sides. Then slide the two side
plates (7) into the unfolded charcoal bowl (2) from above until you hear them engage. See
Figure C.
 Now set the charcoal bowl (2) into the assembled stand (1) from above. To securely support
the charcoal bowl (2), the four locking mechanism (8) have to engage in the corresponding
recesses in the base (1). See Figure D.
 Now unfold the cooking grate (3). Then push the two stabilising struts (10) on the bottom
through the cooking grate (3). Finally engage the two handles (9) in the cooking grate (3) from
above at the designated locations. See
Figure E.
 Place the cooking grate (3) onto the stand (1). Make sure that the cooking grate (3) rests
securely on the support plates at the front and back. See Figure F.

7. Before initial use

We recommend cleaning the cooking grate (3) with warm dishwater before initial use.
Before using the barbecue for the first time, heat it for at least 30 minutes in order to
burn any possible production residues. Odours may develop during this time, but this is
completely normal.

8. Initial use

DANGER! Always place the barbecue on an even, heat-resistant, solid surface and not in
the vicinity of flammable materials, liquids or gases. Ensure a sufficient distance from walls
and other objects and never leave the barbecue unattended when in use and after use for
as long as it is still warm. There is a risk of fire!
DANGER! Only light the barbecue with firelighters that conform to the requirements of
the European EN 1860-3 standard. Never use petrol or methylated spirits. There is
danger of deflagration or uncontrollable heat generation that can lead to serious burn
injuries or fire. There is a risk of injury and fire!
