IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the values on the rating plate. Use grounded wall outlets only.
• The unit reaches high temperatures during operation and remains hot for some time after being turned off. Do not
touch the hot surfaces. Use only the handle and buttons, as there is a risk of being burned.
• The unit may not be cleaned, stored, or covered until it has cooled down completely.
• Do not leave the unit unattended while it is turned on or even only plugged into the wall outlet.
• Never carry the unit during operation or while hot. Do not carry the unit by the power cord.
• Before plugging in or unplugging the unit from the wall outlet, make sure the switch is OFF.
• When disconnecting the unit from the wall outlet, never pull the power cord. Grasp the plug and disconnect it by
pulling.
• Do not allow children or unskilled people to handle the unit. Use the unit out of the reach of these individuals.
• Take extra care when using the unit near children.
• Turn the unit off, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, and let the unit cool down before cleaning
and after use.
• Do not let the power cord hang loosely over the edge of a table. Make sure the power cord does not touch hot
surfaces.
• The unit may only be installed on a stable surface resistant to high temperature, away from other heat sources,
such as heating bodies, ovens, etc. Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or moisture.
• Pour water into the kettle before connecting it to the wall outlet.
• The kettle may be used for heating water up to the maximum indicated level. If the water exceeds the
recommended maximum level, hot water may splash out. SCALDING HAZARD!
• Before switching on the unit, make sure the lid is properly closed. Do not open the lid during heating.
• We don't recommend using the kettle for heating liquids other than water.
• Do not switch the unit on without water. If an empty kettle is turned on, the safety fuse will deactivate it
automatically. Let the kettle cool and fill it with cold water. You may now continue using the kettle.
• Extra care should be taken while opening the lid when refilling a hot kettle with water.
• Take precautions to avoid scalding with hot water while handling the kettle. Always hold the kettle by its handle,
as the vessel can be hot and may burn you.
• Pour the hot water slowly – excessive tilting may cause the water to flow through the lid – RISK OF SCALDING!
• Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances for cleaning the unit.
• Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any liquids.
Take the unit to an authorized service center for testing and repair.
• Never use an appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Contact an authorized service center immediately to
have the defective components repaired or replaced.
