2. ATTACHING TO ZIPLINE CABLE
Note: If zipline is already up, you will need to detach it first at the finish point.
• Place empty anchor bag at a point by the zipline that is approximately 85% of the way down the
course. For example, on an 30m long course, place the bag at 25.5m down the course; on a 25m
course, place the bag at 21m down the course.
• Place 45-50 kg of sand inside the anchor bag and zip it closed (Figure 1).
• Place the "looped" end of the bungee through BOTH anchor handles (Figure 2), then thread the block,
with bungee cord attached, through the "looped" section and pull the bungee line completely
through (Figure 2).
IMPORTANT: Note the pull direction in relations to the bag alignment (Figure 2).
• Attach the brake block to the zipline cable: Take the cable end and insert the cable through the hole
in the Block (Figure 3).
IMPORTANT: Be sure to put the block between the trolley and the Finish Point (Figure 3).
• Reattach your zipline to the Finish Point (see zipline instructions).

• With the block attached to the cable, check to see if it can move back and forth freely. Then check
the anchor bag spot along the zipline cable to be sure it is equal to 85% down the length of the
zipline course-see previous instruction.
• Place anchor out from and perpendicular to the zipline at this point, until the slack is gone from the
bungee cord. Do not place the anchor bag directly under the zipline cable. It MUST be moved out to
the side, to avoid a rider becoming entangled.
• DO NOT use a ground stake or other item in place of or in addition to the bag. Stakes and other items
can become projectiles, causing serious injury or death to the rider or bystanders.
IMPORTANT: The area where the bungee cord stretches must be clear of people and pets.
As you go down the zipline course, this is how your zipline and bungee brake should be setup:
