Deleting programmed wireless plug-in dimmer switches from a radio
transmitter
• Press the ON and OFF buttons simultaneously, for the switching channel to which the radio controlled
socket is programmed. The "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" LED (6) begins to blink.
• Now, press the "ALL-ON" (3) button and the "ALL-OFF" (4) button simultaneously. The "ON/OFF/INDI-
CATOR" LED (6) goes out. All wireless plug-in dimmer switches have been deleted successfully from the
remote control.
To delete a single wireless plug-in dimmer switch, press the corresponding OFF button
for the switching channel, to which the wireless plug-in dimmer switch was programmed,
instead of pressing the buttons "ALL-ON" (3) and "ALL-OFF" (4).
Start-up, Function Test
Set the correct switching group on the remote control, using the "Selector switch for switching group" (2).
Plug the wireless plug-in dimmer switch (without the consumer load connected!) into the designated earthed
mains socket.
You can now test the function of the wireless plug-in dimmer switch, by briefl y pressing the respective ON
button for the corresponding switching channel. The red "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" LED (6) fl ashes. The LED
"ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) on the front is now activated; the mains voltage is available and a connected
consumer load is turned on.
Briefl y press the OFF button for the switching channel and the "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" LED (6) goes out; the
mains voltage to the front socket (7), and thus the connected consumer load, is turned off.
Operation
Connect a consumer load to the front socket (7).
Please consult the section "Technical data" for the permissible maximum power.
By using the respective "ON" or "OFF" button for the switching channel on the handheld radio transmitter, the
wireless plug-in dimmer switch set to the same switching channel is turned on (the LED "ON/OFF/INDICA-
TOR" (6) lights up) or off (the LED "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6) goes out) .
The wireless plug-in dimmer switch can be switched on or off manually using the "ON/OFF" button (1) located
on the front.
Dimmer Function
• Switch the dimmer on, by briefl y pressing the ON button for the corresponding switching channel once.
• Press the ON button for the corresponding switching channel on the wireless transmitter. The dimmer
function starts.
• Press the ON button for the corresponding switching channel on the wireless transmitter. The dimmer
function stops.
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled for any reason.
Remove the connected consumer loads from the wireless plug-in dimmer switch and remove it from the
mains socket before cleaning the product.
Only clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solu-
tions since these might damage the surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Handling
• The wireless remote control and the wireless plug-in dimmer switch are only intended for use
in dry indoor locations.
• Avoid the following unfavourable environmental conditions at the installation location and
during transportation:
- Humidity and damp may cause damage to the product
- Direct sunlight
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or fl ammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fi elds such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• Ensure that the insulation for the entire product is neither damaged nor destroyed. Never
disassemble the product! The casing does not contain any serviceable parts.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you notice any damage, do not use the product any longer!
There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible:
- if the device is visibly damaged
- if the device no longer works
- if the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time
- if it was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Transmission range
The transmission range of the radio signals between the hand-held radio transmitter and the radio controlled
sockets is up to 70 m under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called "open space range" (the range when transmitter and
receiver are visible to each other, without interfering infl uences).
In practical operation, however, there are walls, ceilings of rooms etc. between the trans-
mitter and the receiver, which reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be gua-
ranteed.
Nevertheless, trouble-free operation in a single-family home is usually possible.
The range can sometimes be limited considerably by:
• walls, reinforced concrete ceilings
• coated/metallised insulated glass
• proximity to metal & conducting objects (e.g. radiators)
• proximity to human bodies
• Broadband interferences, e.g. in residential areas (DECT telephones, mobile phones, radio-controlled
headphones, radio-controlled speakers, radio-controlled weather stations, baby phones etc.)
• Proximity to electric motors, transformers, power-supply units, computers
• The proximity to improperly shielded or uncovered operating computers or other electric appliances
Disposal
a) In general
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current statutory
requirements.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechargeable batte-
ries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries that contain pollutants, or rechargeable batteries with the symbol depicted here, can-
not be disposed of with the normal household garbage. The designations for the respective
hazardous heavy metals are Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
Used batteries, rechargeable batteries as well as coin cells can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever batteries/rechargeable batteries/coin cells are sold!
You thus fulfi l the legal requirements and make your contribution to protecting the environment!
Declaration of Conformity (DOC)
