Note: It is not a sign of a defect if a few water droplets appear on the kettle base (7). It is a small amount of condensed
steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Caution!
Prior to leaning the appliance, always disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet!
Prior to handling, make sure the unit is already cold!
Only use a wet cloth for cleaning the appliance's surface; never use any detergents or hard
objects, as they may damage the appliance's surface!
Never clean the appliance under running water, do not rinse it, and do not submerge it
in water!
Limescale removal
Impurities from water build up during normal use. These sediments can be perfectly removed
from the kettle by using preparations designed for removing limescale (observe the producer's
instructions) or using the following procedure:
1. Pour 0.5 litre of vinegar into the kettle and top up with water. Leave the solution in the kettle
overnight. Do not boil!
2. Pour out the contents, and clean the remaining sediment using a wet cloth. Fill the kettle
with clean water, boil it and pour it out again. Repeat the procedure once more. The kettle is
then ready for continuing operation.
Note: Remove the sediment inside the kettle regularly, about once a week, depending on the
water hardness and frequency of use. Deposits reduce the heating effect and life of the kettle
considerably
