SKIMMER ASSEMBLY
The V Skim Pro is supplied almost fully assembled to ensure the skimmer is ready to use as soon as

possible after unpacking.
1. Ensure the collection cup (3), lid (4) and O ring (2) are securely and correctly positioned on the
main skimmer body (1).
2. Attach the outlet pipe assembly (9) to the water outlet (8). Attach the V
end of the outlet pipe assembly (9) if required.
3. Attach the inlet pipe (21) to the water inlet (6).
4. Screw the pump venturi (15) into the threaded face of the pump (13) and screw in the pump hosetail.
5. Assemble the venturi air line assembly (17) as shown.

INSTALLATION

The versatile design allows the V
using the hanger (12) or internally in a sump by standing the skimmer on its base. If standing,
ensure that the pump will not cause the skimmer to topple over. The pump may require additional
support (not supplied) if you are unable to attach the hanger (12) to a glass partition of a suitable
height in your sump.
1. Ensure there is plenty of space in/around the aquarium or sump to allow the skimmer to be
installed and adequate, unobstructed space for the pump inside the aquarium or sump.
2. Place pump in aquarium or sump. Try to avoid changing the length of the pipe as it is sized for
optimum performance.

3. Hang the V Skim Pro on the side of your aquarium or sump in the desired location and tighten
the hanger securing screws (11) or allow to stand if required.
4. Connect the venturi air line assembly (17) to the pump venturi (15) and connect to skimmer
body and pipe using the supplied clips, as shown.
5. The collection cup (3) is supplied with a drain port (5). When using this port, remove the
rubber drain plug and fit the supplied collection cup drain hose (22) so that skimmate can be
easily drained away into a container of your choice (not supplied).
