Description
The MDPMMN4022 and MDPMMN4023 Remote Speaker Microphones
(RSMs) provide a more convenient means of communicating by having a
speaker, a microphone, and a PTT in one small hand-held or clip-on
accessory. The MDPMMN4022 model includes a 3.5mm audio jack that
allows earbuds, earphones, and similar secondary accessories to be
plugged into the RSM. The MDPMMN4023 microphone head is designed
for use in wet environments.
Operation
Attaching the RSM to the Radio
To attach the RSM to the radio
1 Turn the radio off.
2 Remove the universal connector seal from the side of the
radio and attach the RSM.
3 Turn the radio on.
Wearing the RSM
For optimum performance from the RSM, wear the radio and RSM so that
the accessory cord will not cross over or touch the antenna. Try to wear the
radio and accessory combination fairly close to each other to avoid strain on
the accessory connector.
Receiving
When the RSM is connected to the radio accessory jack, the radio's speaker
is muted and the audio is heard from the RSM. Similarly, when a secondary
audio accessory is plugged into the 3.5mm audio jack (MDPMMN4022),
audio to the RSM is rerouted to the secondary accessory.
