Assembling and Installing the Pit Frame Edges

§ Unpack all parts of the pit frame edges and check the delivery for completeness.
§ Use the screws and nuts provided to assemble the four steel angle sections to form
a rectangle.
§ Use water pipe pliers to bend the mounting plates on the angle sections 90° outward.
> These plates stabilize the pit frame edges in the concrete.
§ Refer to the drawings and tables on the following pages to determine the required
dimensions for depth, width and supports.
§ Dig the pit in the dry or wet area as required.
§ Check the diagonals and set up the formwork.
§ Build the auxiliary frame for the pit.
§ Fasten the pit frame edges to the auxiliary frame. Check the diagonals and adjust the pit
frame edges as needed.
§ Make sure the upper edge is level and flush with the surrounding surface.
§ Lay the protective conduit for the connecting cable as indicated in the drawing on the left.
§ Pour the concrete to set the pit frame edges and allow it to dry.
§ Remove the auxiliary frame and the formwork.
