This u ni t operates on dry batteries .
The unit can also be opera ted on AC power t hrough use o f an optional AC adaptor.
BATTERY OPERATION
Batteries: Heavy duty manganese battery (AA or RGI x 4
If the battery power vo ltage is sufficient, the BATT ERY/ RECORD LED ind icator is bright while the PLAY button

is pressed. When this indicato r di ms. the ba ttery power is used up, and t here is a decrease in
t he voltage. Therefore, replace all 4 batteries wi th new ones. A decrease in t he battery power voltage may make recording
impossible, although playback is possible. For important record ings, chec k if the BATTE RY /RECORD LED indicator is br ight
by press ing the PLAY button
( II> ).
When the indicato r is dim, replace all 4 batteries wi th new ones.
1. Re move the battery cover located at the bottom of the unit.
2. Replace the batteries . Always replace all batteri es (4 pcs.) at the same tim e.
Be
sure that the"+" and"- " marks on the battery correspond to th e " +" and"- " marks in th e case.
3. Replace
the battery cover.
Note : A dead ba ttery, if left in t he battery compartment. m ay cause battery leakage, t hus a damaging the unit.
Remov e th e dead ba ttery promptl y.
