Install Steering Wheel

Straighten front tires foward.
2 Orient steering wheel center spoke towards seat.

Hand start nut than tighten securely.

Press on cover.
Check Oil

Place tractor on a flat, level surface.

Lift tractor hood and remove dipstick.

With a clean cloth wipe dipstick.
5 Insert dipstick.

Remove dipstick.

Keep oil level in the operating range.

Safety Interlock System
Tests
WARNING
Failure to read and follow the safety warnings and instructions
in this document and in the operator's manual could result in
death, serious injury, and/or property damage.
This unit is equipped with safety interlock switches and other
safety devices. These safety systems are present for your
safety: do not attempt to bypass safety switches, and never
tamper with safety devices.
WARNING
If the unit does not pass a safety test, do not
operate it. See your authorized dealer.

Test 1 — Engine should NOT crank if:
• Operator is NOT in seat, OR

• PTO switch is ON, OR
• Brake pedal is NOT fully depressed (parking brake OFF).
Test 2 — Engine SHOULD crank and start if:
• Operator is in seat, AND
• PTO switch is OFF, AND
• Brake pedal is fully depressed (parking brake ON).

Test 3 — Engine should SHUT OFF if:
• Operator rises off seat with PTO engaged.
Test 4 — Check Mower Blade Stopping Time
• Mower blades and mower drive belt should come to a
complete stop within five seconds after electric PTO switch
is turned OFF.
• If mower drive belt does NOT stop within five seconds, see
an authorized dealer.
Test 5 — Reverse Mow Option (RMO) check
• Engine should shut off if reverse travel is attempted if the
PTO has been switched on and RMO has not been activated.
• RMO light should illuminate when RMO has been activated.
