Spare parts and their replacement
6.1.
Replacing filters
Only filter designed for CleanAIR® Basic may be used! Filter must be new, unused and in the original packaging.
The expiration date must not be exceeded – it is marked on a sticker on the body of the filter.
Filter replacement:
1. Take off the filter cover
2. Pull the filter from the unit.
3. Check the rubber sealing ring at the input to the unit for possible damage.
4. Put the new filter onto the unit.
5. Put on the filter cover.
It is always recommended to use a pre-filter. It catches larger particles and aerosols, while prolonging the life-time
of the filter significantly.
Install only new filter without any visible damage.
It is forbidden to clean a filter or blow through it in any way!
From the hygiene point of view it is not recommended to use filter for more than 1 month after its first use.
6.2.
Batteries
For technical reasons, batteries are not fully charged when leaving the manufacturer. They are supplied with a <
30% charge. Therefore either fully charge the battery before first use, or expect shorter runtime in the first cycle.
For maximum battery life, follow the storage instructions (see Section 9. "Storage")
Battery replacement
see pictorial annex "How to insert the battery".
1.
Grip the powered respiratory unit firmly. Release the safety lock located on the bottom side of the battery. Pull the
battery out of the unit.
2. Insert the battery into the corresponding place on the unit until the click-in stop locks the battery in the right po-
sition.
Battery charging
Slide the battery out of the unit.
Connect the charger into the 100 - 230 V ~ 50/60 Hz mains. A green light indicates the power is on.
Connect the battery to the charger. Charging is indicated by a red light.
When the red light turns to green, the battery is fully charged.
Charging time is approx. 4 hours.
After charging, disconnect the battery from the charger and the charger from the mains.
It is not recommended to leave the charger connected to the mains when not in use.
Charging starts after connecting the battery using the charger to the power supply. After the battery is fully
charged, the charger switches to maintenance mode to keep the battery fully charged.
Green LED on without battery: power is ON
Green LED with battery: battery is fully charged
The battery charger is for indoor use only. Never charge the battery in potentially explosive atmosphere.
It is forbidden to use the battery charger for other purposes than those determined by the producer.

Red LED on: charging in progress
Red LED flashing: error (e.g. short circuit)
7.
Possible faults and alarms
In case of any fault, such as a sudden decrease or increase in air supply when the user is in a contaminated
working area, it is necessary to leave the worksite immediately.
If there is a problem, check the following:
Whether the unit is assembled correctly.
Condition of the battery.
Filter clogging.
Whether the sealing of the safety hood provides a good fit.
The unit is equipped with warning systems that are activated in the following situations:
Blocked filter - if the unit cannot maintain the chosen
airflow, the electronics will automatically decrease
the airflow by one level and you will hear an acoustic
signal. If the unit is unable to maintain the lowest pos-
sible airflow, you will be continuously warned by an
audiovisual alarm.

level.
9.
Storage
All parts of the CleanAIR® system must be stored at temperatures between -10 °C and 55 °C, with relative air
humidity between 20 and 95% Rh.
Batteries will self-discharge during storage. Therefore, it is recommended to charge the battery for 1 hour at least
every 3 months. The optimal battery charge level for longer storage is between 50 - 70% of capacity. After longer
storage time it is necessary to repeat 3 charging cycles to reach battery's full capacity.
10.

Warranty

The warranty ensures that you will receive a replacement if a product has any manufacturing or material defects
that appear within 12 months of the date of purchase. The warranty period for batteries is 6 months from the
date of purchase. The warranty claim must be reported to the sales department/retailer. At the same time, proof
of purchase must be submitted (i.e. an invoice or certificate of delivery). The warranty can only be acknowledged
if no interventions into the powered respiratory unit and charger have been made. The warranty does not cover
defects caused by the late replacement of filters, or by using a filter which was damaged by cleaning or being
blown through.
The manufacturer strongly recommends to perform periodical inspections in CleanAIR® authorized service center.
Inspections should be done according the local law and at least once in every two years.
Low battery charge - an alarm notifies the user when
the battery has discharged. It is best to leave the con-
taminated area and replace or recharge the battery.
Airflow adjustment
You can adjust airflow by simple
pressing the button on the top of
the unit. Each press change the
flow by one step 170 / 190 / 205 /
220 / 240 l/min
