5b) When "ENTER" is pressed, the selected relays are switched, even if the request for audio signal playback (remote playback) is not im-
mediately carried out due to an unavailable resource (e.g. audio board, audio zones). The relays are switched back to the original po-
sition when:
a. the audio signal playback is terminated (end of playback).
b. the request for enabling the two functions (audio signal playback + relay control) is cancelled using the "CLEAR" key.
6) To cancel the request made and interrupt the functions selected, press "CLEAR". The LEDs corresponding to the zone/group selection
keys go off, along with the "ENTER" and "CLEAR" LEDs and the LEDs of the function keys selected, and the message preceding the se-
lection reappears on the console display (e.g. "COMMUNICATION ON").
IMPORTANT NOTES
• Once the request for enabling the playback function has been sent by means of pressing "ENTER", you can only cancel the playback
function using "CLEAR" if the audio signal playback has not yet begun!!!
• If "CLEAR" is pressed when playback of the recorded audio signal is already in progress, the BM 3616 console is reset (zones deselec-
ted), but playback continues until the end.

RELAY SWITCHING AND TRANSMISSION OF A MICROPHONE ANNOUNCEMENT

This procedure makes it possible to control simultaneously the switching of relays on the IO 3250 digital INPUT/OUTPUT boards and the tran-
smission of an announcement in specific audio zones (or groups of zones) using the console microphone.
1) Press the function key associated to the relays to be switched (e.g. "F2"). The corresponding LED (ref. 10 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up,
along with the "CLEAR" LED, and the following message appears on the console display:
2) If necessary, repeat the operation described in point (1) to control relays associated to other function keys.
3) Select the zones in which you want to make the announcement, proceeding as described in the section "SELECTING ONE OR MORE AU-
DIO ZONES", or in the section "SELECTING ALL THE AUDIO ZONES".
NOTE
• If desired, the operation indicated in point (3) can be carried out before the operations described in points (1) and (2).
4) Press "ENTER" to send the request to the CP 3100 control unit for enabling the functions selected (microphone activation + relay con-
trol). The "ENTER" LED (ref. 15 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up to confirm that the request has been sent. The following message appears
on the display, indicating that you must wait a few seconds.
4a) As soon as the control unit makes a check on the free/engaged status of the resources necessary for transmitting a microphone an-
nouncement, the console display shows one of the messages "a", "b", "c", or "d" described in point (2) of the section "TRANSMIT-
TING A MICROPHONE ANNOUNCEMENT". To send the microphone announcement, proceed as indicated in point (4) of the section
"TRANSMITTING A MICROPHONE ANNOUNCEMENT".
4b) When "ENTER" has been pressed, the selected relays are switched, even if the request for transmission of a microphone announce-
ment is not immediately carried out due to an unavailable resource (e.g. audio zone, group of audio zones). The relays are switched
back to the original position when:
a. the "PTT" key on the console is released.
b. the "PTT" key has not been pressed and 85 seconds have passed since the message "PTT ENABLED" appeared on the console
display.
c. the request for enabling the two functions (relay control + microphone activation) is cancelled using the "CLEAR" key.
IMPORTANT NOTE
• The relays remain switched for 85 seconds, or for the period of time between enabling with "ENTER" (message "PTT ENABLED")
and the release of the "PTT" key.
5) To cancel the request made and interrupt the functions selected, press "CLEAR". The LEDs corresponding to the zone/group selection
keys go off, along with the "ENTER" and "CLEAR" LEDs and the LEDs associated to the function keys selected, and the message pre-
ceding the selection reappears on the display (e.g. "COMMUNICATION ON").

RELAY SWITCHING AND TRANSMISSION OF A LOCAL MESSAGE

This procedure makes it possible to control simultaneously the switching of relays on the IO 3250 digital INPUT/OUTPUT boards and tran-
smission in specific zones (or groups of zones) of a message previously recorded and stored in the memory of the console by means of the
procedure described in the section "LOCAL MESSAGE RECORDING/PLAYBACK".
1) Press the function key associated to the relays to be switched (e.g. "F2"). The corresponding LED (ref. 10 – Fig. 1, page 132) lights up,
along with the "CLEAR" LED, and the following message appears on the console display:
IMPORTANT NOTE
• It is not possible to use the function keys that are programmed to control the playback of an audio signal stored on the CP 3100 control
unit.
2) If necessary, repeat the operation described in point (1) to control relays associated to the other function keys.
3) Select the zones in which you want to transmit the audio signal (message or tone), proceeding as described in the section "SELECTING
ONE OR MORE AUDIO ZONES", or in the section "SELECTING ALL THE AUDIO ZONES".
