Caution
If this option is installed incorrectly, personal injury or damage to
peripheral items may occur due to fire, shock, or other accidental
circumstances. To avoid such risks, installation should be performed by
qualified service personnel.
To install the HVBK-1520 in the HVR-1500/1500A, proceed as
follows.
Before beginning work, be sure that the power is disconnected.
The figures in the following procedures show the HVR-1500A.
Notes
• This board can be mounted on two board types, DPR and SDI, in the
HVR-1500. Whichever of these boards you have, you can install this
board using almost exactly the same procedure.
• Installing this board requires an upgrade of the HVR-1500/1500A
main unit firmware.
For details, contact your Sony dealer or a Sony sales representative.
• When removing the rear panel or the CN-2905 board, be careful not
to lose the board or screws.

Remove the screws securing the rear panel of the HVR-1500/
1500A (HVR-1500: 8 screws, HVR-1500A: 14 screws).
