Troubleshooting - Zeus audio SPL-P2100 Gebrauchsanleitung

The summary below shows the optimal settings for the different applications of this amplifier.
For use with front speakers
- CROSSOVER in TREBLE position
- FREQ in centre position (=vertical)
- BASS BOOST off
- GAIN in centre position (=vertical)
For use with rear speakers
- CROSSOVER in FLAT position
- FREQ in centre position (=vertical)
- BASS BOOST on
- GAIN right from the centre position
For use with a subwoofer
- CROSSOVER in BASS position
- FREQ in centre position (=vertical)
- BASS BOOST on
- GAIN right from the centre position
Trouble-shooting
No sound
- Check the contacts of all cables and plugs.
- Check the fuse (replace old/burnt out fuses always by new ones with the same rating)
- Check the output signal of the head unit.
Sound from one side only
- Check the connections
- If you use RCA sockets, invert the left and right plug. If the same channel continues to
malfunction, check the settings of the amplifier and the operation of your speakers. If the other
channel is working now, the problem is caused by the head unit or the cable.
Low sound
- Check the setting of the input sensitivity
Noise / interference
- If the volume varies with your speed, check if the unit is properly grounded and the grounding
point is free of dirt and rust. Make sure that the housing of the amplifier is not in contact with
the chassis of your car (check if the rings are still in place).
- If you hear a clicking or plopping sound when you change speed, the noise is probably caused
by your ignition system and you need to insert a ground isolator.
- If the noise is only audible when you use the indicator or the windscreen wipers, check if the +
wire is directly linked to the + terminal of the battery and not to the fuse box.
