- Reinstall the CO detector in the mounting bracket.
- Replace the battery annually.
HOW TO RESPOND TO AN ALARM
In the event of a CO alarm:
- Immediately move to fresh air, go outside or open all windows
and doors to air out the area and wait for the carbon monoxide
to dissipate.
- If possible, switch off any type of burner.
- Evacuate the building.
- Do not enter the building again or do not move away from the
window or door until first responders have arrived, the rooms
have been aired out and your detector has returned to normal
mode.
- Immediately seek medical attention for all persons experiencing
headaches, drowsiness or nausea, etc.
- Do not use the respective appliances until they have been inspected
by a qualified service agent and the malfunction has been identi-
fied and corrected.
