Never use a light socket.
Never connect the live (L) or neutral
(N) wires to the earth pin marked
E or
.
For 115 V units with a power rating exceeding
1500 W, we recommend to fit a plug to BS4343
standard.

Using an extension cable

If an extension cable is required, use an
approved extension cable suitable for the power
input of this tool (see technical data). The
minimum conductor size is 1.5 mm
cable reel, always unwind the cable completely.
Also refer to the table below.

Replacing the collet assembly (fig. C)
Your router is supplied with a 8 mm (GB: 1/4")
collet fitted to the tool. Two other precision collets
are also available to suit the cutter used. The
collet and the collet nut are inseparable.
Loosen the collet nut (3) completely.
Remove the collet assembly (21).
Fit a new assembly and tighten the collet
nut (3).

dial (19) for uniform cutting results in all types of
wood, plastics and in aluminium.
Turn the electronic speed control dial to the
required level.
Generally, use the low setting for large diameter
cutters and the high setting for small diameter
cutters. The correct setting, however, is a matter
of experience.
1 = 8,000 min
2 = 9,500 min
3 = 11,500 min
4 = 16,000 min
5 = 19,500 min
6 = 22,500 min
7 = 24,000 min
Adjusting the depth of cut (fig. D)
Your router is equipped with a high precision
-
depth adjustment system including a zero reset
ring for both the quick adjuster and the fine
adjuster.
Quick adjustment using the graduation
with zero reset ring
Loosen the depth stop locking bolt (14).
Unlock the plunge limiter (15) by turning it
counterclockwise.
Lower the router carriage until the cutter is in
contact with the workpiece.
Tighten the plunge limiter (15).
Set the quick adjuster (16) to zero using the
ring (22). The depth stop (13) must be in
contact with the revolver depth stop (12).
Adjust the depth of cut using the quick
adjuster (16) and the corresponding
graduation. The adjusted depth of cut is
indicated by the arrows (23).
Tighten the depth stop locking bolt (14).
