After changing the press jaw it is essential to ensure that, once engaged, the crimping jaw
matches the profile being moulded and the nominal width of the fitting being moulded. A visual
inspection must be carried out in order to determine that the press jaw is fully closed at the end
of the press cycle.
3.7

Operation

Use only system-compatible press fittings and press jaws designed for them. The nominal size
of the press jaw must be identical with the nominal size of the press fitting.
Before starting the work:
Check the trigger's position. The tool must always be powered on with the trigger not pressed.
Check the battery is in perfect state. If the battery is damaged, it must be changed.
When inserting the pipe / press fitting system, there is a risk of crush injuries for the
fingers or other body parts near the press jaw!!
 Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the machine
 Press lightly the trigger to light up, white LED's lights up for 30 sec
 Push the press fitting on to the pipe. Pull the press jaw apart and insert the pipe with the
press fitting at right angles.
There must be no foreign bodies between the press contour and the fitting. If you fail to
ensure this, the pressing process will not produce a perfect joint!
 Press the trigger until the pressing process has been completed. The motor cut out indicates
the end of the moulding cycle.
WARNING: always keep your fingers, hands and any foreign body away from the
clamp during the crimping cycle. Lack of application of this instruction may cause
severe body injury!
 Push the press jaw apart and take the machine off the joint.
 Press the ON/OFF button to switch off the machine.
Visual check: After each crimping, it is important to check visually that the coupling was
crimped properly.
Do not start the machine while the piston retracts or the emergency shutdown is pressed!

Battery/charger

Mains connection:
Connect only to single-phase a.c. current and only to the system voltage indicated on the rating
plate. It is also possible to connect to sockets without an earthing contact as the design con-
forms to safety class II.
Charging the battery:
ATTENTION! Overvoltage destroys the batteries and the charger. Observe correct
mains voltage!
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at every charging level and charging can be interrupted
at any time without damaging the battery (no memory effect).
 Insert mains plug of the battery charger into a mains power socket: Red and green LEDs are
lit.
 Connect the battery (1) to the battery charger (2):
Charging control lamp (3) flashes green: Battery is charged.
Charging control lamp (3) is lit green: Battery is fully charged. (For charging time, see
Technical Data).
 Keep button pressed and remove the battery.
 Disconnect mains power plug from the mains power socket.
