User manual electronic lock with emergency override
1. General
1.1 Code
The lock operates with a numeric eight-digit code. The code consists of a 2-digit operator number and a freely
selectable 6-digit combination.
Every correct key stroke recognized by the lock is confirmed by an acoustic signal. You have maximum 10
seconds for each individual key stroke. If no key is pressed during these 10 seconds, the electronics shuts down
automatically. Code inputs resp. all further functions (e.g. programming operations) can be cancelled until the last
key stroke by pressing the key twice.
1.2 Opening
Enter code (factory code 0-0-1-2-3-4-5-6) and unlock/open the door within four seconds. Turn the actuating
knob within 4 seconds through 90° clockwise to the stop. If the lock is not unlocked within four seconds, the lock
secures automatically.
Confirm each input with the enter-key  . After entry of a valid code a double sound signal and green LED signal
follows. An invalid entry is followed by a triple sound signal and red LED signal.
1.3 Closing the lock
Close the door and turn the actuating knob counter clockwise through 90° to the stop. Confirm if the lock is
locked by trying to turn the actuating knob back in open-position.
1.4 Guard time
After 3 incorrect inputs the lock switches to a 1-minute guard time. For each further incorrect code input the
guard time is extended to 2, 4, 8 and finally to 16 minutes.
1.5 Safety reference
All codes are to be securely stored. Do not use personal data, such as birthdays and telephone numbers as your
personal code. Change the factory code before you start using the safe!
1.6 Inspection key
The inspection key can open the lock any time mechanically independent of the electronics. The inspection key
can also be used to assign a new master code and reset the complete lock. Reconfiguration of the lock can be
implemented using the inspection key and software without knowing or changing the master code. The inspection
key must be stored in a safe place. Read chapter 6 for further information about how to open the safe with the key.
