SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• See "Safety Instructions" manual, supplied with this
instruction manual.
• WARNING! Material containing asbestos must not be
polished.
Working
amianthus/asbestos and/or silica stones produces a
dust, which is harmful to health. Protect yourself from
inhaling this dust, in compliance with current
regulations on accident prevention.
• For your personal safety, always connect the
machine to a mains supply protected by a differential
and thermal cutout switch, in accordance with
regulations on low-voltage wiring sitemaps.
• Do not pierce the motor housing as this could
damage the double insulation (use adhesive labels).
• Check the work area with a metal detector for hidden
wires, gas and/or water pipes.
• Always unplug the machine before carrying out
work on it.
• Always stop the machine by switching it off, not by
unplugging it.
• WARNING! Before each use, inspect the plug and
lead. Should they need replacing, have this done by
an official service centre.
• Always keep the mains lead clear of the working
range of the machine.
• Only plug the machine in when it is switched off.
• Do not allow the machine to get wet, nor should it be
used in wet environments.

• When using the machine, always wear safety
goggles, gloves and non-slip footwear, and it is
advisable to wear ear protection.
• Check for correct piece fixing before commencing
any operation.
• Only milling heads with acceptable revolutions that
are at least the same as the maximum off-load
revolutions of the machine should be used.
• The milling head shaft diameter should match the
inside diameter of the tool-holder (locking clip).
• It should be ensured that the milling head is firmly
held in place before the machine is operated.
• The clip-carrier shaft support lever must only be
operated when the machine is stopped.
• The milling head should only be brought into contact
with the work-piece after it has been switched on.
• The machine must be firmly held by the grips. Other-
wise the recoil produced could cause the machine to
work imprecisely or even dangerously.
• Hold the machine firmly in both hands and in a stable
position.
• During use, it should be ensured that the milling head
is in the centre of the copy bushing in order to
prevent any personal injury or damages to the work-
piece.
• The milling machine must never be used on metal
objects, such as nails and screws.
• Hand must be kept clear of the milling machine while
it is operating.
• The cutting depth must never be adjusted with the
motor running. A mistake in this time could lead to
personal injury and/or damage to the milling head or
work-piece.
• The operator should remain alert and keep the milling
head apart from all objects during operation.
• When the milling operation has been completed,
locking lever should be operated so that the machine
returns to its upper starting position.
• The motor must be allowed to come to completely
stop before being put to one side between uses.
• The milling heads should be protected from impacts
and knocks.
• The milling heads should not be touched after use
because they could cause serious burns.
.
