2. INTRODUCTION

2.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION

WELDKAR MIG 2125
The Weldkar WK MIG 2125 is a powerful 230 volt MIG
inverter. This, the smallest member of the Weldkar MIG
family, stands out for weld quality, compactness and
simplicity.
With a weight of only 12.5 kg, this portable, robust
machine is the ideal welding tool in the workshop and
on site. With mains voltage of 230 volts and maximum
welding output of 200 amps, it offers a wide range of
applications on steel and CuSi3.
The machine is stepless adjustable, equipped with a
burnback control, "wave control" (maintains a steady,
smooth welding arc in the short arc area) and central
connector.
The strong cast aluminium 2-roll wire feed unit
transports the welding wire trouble-free over a maximum
length of 4 meters. The machine is provided with CE and
EMC and suitable for generator use.
The weld inverter is supplied as standard with a:

2.4 THERMAL PROTECTION

This inverter is protected by a thermostat. When the
thermostat is tripped, the machine stops delivering
current but the fan continues to run. The yellow led (9)
lights to indicate when it is tripped. Do not shut off the
welding machine until the led has gone off.

2.5 MOTOR-DRIVEN GENERATORS

These must have a power equal to or greater than 6
kVA, and must not deliver a voltage greater than 265 V.
