Cassette mode

 Set the C D / M P 3 / U S B / S D , TA P E , R A D I O selector switch to the function
TA P E .

Inserting cassettes

 Press the S T O P / E J button to open the cassette compartment.
 Insert a cassette with the tape side up and the side you want to play facing the ma-
chine in the guide tracks of the compartment, and then close the compartment.

Playing, stopping and pausing the cassette

 Press the P L AY button to play the cassette.
 To end playback press the S T O P / E J button.
 You can interrupt playback by pressing the PA U S E button. Press the button
again to resume playback.

Fast forward and rewind

 Press F. F W D  or R E W  to fast forward or rewind the tape.
 Press S T O P / E J  to end the fast mode. You should also press the button if
the end or the beginning of the tape was reached.

Auto-stop

The tape stops automatically if it reaches the end during playback or recording. The
tape does not stop automatically in fast forward and rewind mode. Press S T O P / E J
at the end of the tape.
NOTICE!
Do not switch directly from fast forward or rewind to playback. Stop play-
back first to avoid damaging the tape.

Recording

NOTICE!
If pre-recorded chromium dioxide tapes are used for recording on this ma-
chine, the first recording might only be partially erased. We therefore rec-
ommend using new cassettes for recordings on chromium dioxide tapes.
Use iron oxide tapes for better playback quality.
You can record from the radio or from audio CDs or MP3 discs.
The machine is fitted with an automatic recording level control system for optimum re-
sults. It is not affected by manual adjustments to the volume during the recording.
