Damage

If the machine or mains cable is damaged, remove the plug from the mains imme-
diately.
WARNING!
Never try to open and/or repair the machine yourself. There is a risk
of electric shock.
In order to prevent exposure to danger, damaged mains cables should be replaced
by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's customer service department or by a
similarly qualified person.
If there is a fault, please contact our Service Centre or another duly qualified spe-
cialist workshop.

Malfunctions

If the unit is malfunctioning there might have been an electrical discharge. If this
is the case, unplug the mains cable and remove the batteries. Insert the batteries
again and plug the machine back in. This will reset the machine.

CD player

The CD player is a class 1 laser product. The machine is supplied
with a safety system which prevents dangerous laser beams from
escaping during normal use. In order to avoid eye injuries, never
tamper with the safety system.
This machine satisfies the basic requirements and relevant regula-
tions of the Ecodesign Directive 2009/125/EC (Commission Regulation 1275/2008).

Information on handling batteries

The machine is battery-operated. Please note the following instructions on handling
batteries:
Never recharge batteries! Risk of explosion!
Keep batteries away from children; do not throw them into a fire, short-circuit or
dismantle them.
Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. Therefore keep the machine, the remote con-
trol and the batteries out of reach of babies and small children. If a battery is swal-
lowed, please seek medical assistance immediately.
When inserting batteries ensure that the polarity is correct.
Always replace all the batteries at the same time (radio cassette recorder).
Always use replacement batteries of the same type; do not mix different types of
batteries or old and new batteries.
Clean the contacts on the batteries and on the machine before inserting the batter-
ies.
Remove depleted batteries immediately! Increased risk of leakage!
Never expose the batteries to excessive heat, such as sunlight, fire or similar sourc-
