Keep electrical equipment out of reach of children

• Never allow children to use electrical appliances without supervision.
• This machine is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities or by people who lack the experience or
knowledge to use it, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their
safety or have been instructed on its use. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with this machine.

Setting up the device in a safe place

Wait before connecting the machine to the power supply if it has been moved from a
cold to a warm room. The ensuing condensation could damage the machine. The ma-
chine can be operated safely as soon as it has reached room temperature.
It is not designed for use in rooms which high humidity levels (e.g. bathrooms). Ob-
serve the following instructions:
• Do not cover the vents so as to ensure adequate ventilation;
the ventilation openings must not be covered by objects like newspapers, table-
cloths, curtains, etc. which obstruct the air flow;
• Allow at least 10 cm clearance at the sides and top of the machine if it is placed in a
rack or a similar enclosed space;
• Do not expose the machine to direct sources of heat (e.g. heaters);
• Do not place the machine in direct sunlight;
• Avoid contact with moisture, water and splashes; do not place objects which are
filled with water, e.g. vases, on the machine;
• Do not expose the machine to extreme temperatures but maintain an operating
temperature of 5° C to 35° C;
• Do not place the machine close to magnetic fields (e.g. televisions or other loud-
speakers);
• Do not place naked flames (e.g. lit candles) near or on the device.

Accessibility of mains power socket

• Only connect the machine to a power point (230 V ~ 50 Hz) that is easy to reach
and close to the place where you have set up the machine. The socket must be eas-
ily accessible so that you can unplug the device from the mains quickly if necessary.
• Do not use the machine if the machine or the cable is visibly damaged or if the ma-
chine has been dropped.
• Make sure that the mains cable does not present a trip hazard. The connecting ca-
ble must not be trapped or squashed.
