Warning! Before performing a measurement, unplug the
probe cables from the unit. Set the dial to the desired
measurement range. Open the clamp, place it around
the cable then close it. The measured figure can be
read off the display. Note: Only measure one conductor
at a time. For optimum results, center the conductor in
the clamp meter.

Interruption testing
Connect the red probe cable to the "VΩ" socket, and
the black one to the "COM" socket (the red probe is
"+" polarity). Set the dial to the
the measurement probe to the circuit to be tested. If
the circuit is connected to a power source, switch of the
power source and discharge the capacitors before start-
ing measurement. Short-circuits (less than 100 Ω) will
be indicated by the built-in buzzer.

Resistance measurement (Ω)
Connect the red probe cable to the "VΩ" socket, and
the black one to the "COM" socket (the red probe is "+"
polarity). Set the dial to the desired measurement range
(200 Ω, 20 KΩ). Connect the measurement probe to
the circuit to be tested. If the circuit is connected to
a power source, switch of the power source and dis-
charge the capacitors before starting measurement.

(500 V insulation resistance tester)
Connect to the insulation tester to the "VΩ,COM,EXT"
socket. Set the dial to the 2000 MΩ measurement
range. Set the insulation tester to the 2000 MΩ mea-
surement range.

Connect the probe cables to the "L,E" sockets. Turn on
the insulation tester ("POWER" switch "ON" setting).
Contact the probe cables to the item to be measured.
Push the "PUSH 500 V" button and the red 500 V LED
will illuminate. The instrument will display the resis-
tance. If the measured figure is below 19 MΩ, set both
devices to 20 MΩ and repeat the measurement.
Note: If the insulation tester is not being used, turn it
off ("POWER" switch "OFF" position) and unplug the
probe cables.

Changing batteries
If the "BAT" icon appears on the display, the battery re-
quires replacing. Prior top replacing the battery, turn off
the instrument and unplug the probe cables. Remove
the screw from the rear panel. Change the battery. Ob-
serve the correct polarity. Replace the cover and tighten
the screw.
Warning:
Before opening the instrument, make sure that the
probe cables have been removed from the measur-
ing circuit. Replace and tighten the screws so that the
device operates in a stable manner during use and ac-
cident hazards are avoided.

Waste equipment must not be collected sepa-
rately or disposed of with household waste be-
cause it may contain components hazardous to
the environment or health.
Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of
charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which
sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dis-
pose of product at a facility specializing in the collec-
tion of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect
the environment as well as the health of others and
yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local
waste management organization. We shall undertake
the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in
the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated
costs arising.
Batteries, whether alkaline or rechargeable, must not
be handled together with regular household waste. It is
the legal obligation of the product's user to dispose of
batteries at a nearby collection center or at a retail shop.
This ensures that the batteries are ultimately neutral-
ized in an environment-friendly way.
