COMPOUND CUTS
Compound cuts are a combination of mitre cuts and bevel cuts.
1. Check that the saw head is up.
2. Set the fence in the required position and lock it in place.
3. Tilt the saw head to the required angle in relation to the surface of the workpiece and lock the bevel angle.
4. Start cutting, following the same instructions as for straight cuts.
For maximum cuts: the distance between the table and the upper edge of the riving knife must be approximately 10 cm.
IMPORTANT!
Always stay at a safe distance from the saw blade.
While cutting narrow workpieces (less than 120 mm), use a push stick for safety.
CONCEALED CUTS
1. Lower the riving knife so that the point of the knife is 2 mm below the upper point of the saw tooth Fig. 30. Attention, en
FR il y a confusion entre «dessus» et «dessous"!
2. The distance between the riving knife and the saw blade must be between 3 and 8 mm.
3. Insert the mitre fence in one of the slots of the table and adjust to the required angle.
4. If you also tilt the saw blade, you must use the slot that prevents contact between your hand and the mitre fence with
the blade guard cover.
IMPORTANT! Always hold the workpiece firmly; never cut a workpiece that is not adequately held in place.
After the concealed cut is made, the guard cover must be put back.
CHIP EXTRACTION
If the saw is being used in a closed room, it must be connected to an appropriate sawdust extraction system, or the dust
bag supplied with the machine must be attached to the dust extraction nozzle (M) Fig. 17.
CHANGING THE BLADE
IMPORTANT!
Before any maintenance work, adjustment or replacement of the saw blade, stop the saw and remove the plug from the
power socket.
1. Wear safety gloves.
2. In the mitre saw mode, make sure the saw head is up.
3. Turn the blade slightly by hand and at the same time, press the lever (B) Fig. 31. You should feel the blade locking in place.
Keep the lever (B) pressed in.
4. To release the blade locking screw, use the socket wrench (C) Fig. 32 and unscrew clockwise Fig. 33.
5. Take the saw blade off its shaft and lift it upwards.
6. Before putting in place a new or sharpened blade, clean the shaft carefully. Before putting in the new blade, clean the
blade slot with a cloth or a brush.
7. Reverse the order of the operations to put back and fasten the saw blade.
8. Important! Check the rotation direction! Make sure that the teeth of the blade are always pointing down. Follow the
direction shown by the arrows on the saw blade and the guard cover.
9. Before starting up the saw once more, check that all safety and guard systems work properly.
10. After putting the new saw blade in place, turn it by hand and make sure it is turning freely.
11. Now you can reconnect the machine to the power. Do a trial run before using the saw for cutting.
Before starting any work on the machine, disconnect it from the power source.
Use a moist cloth to wipe plastic parts. Do not use cleaning agents, solvents or pointed objects.
Clean the saw table with an appropriate cleaning spray.
If the motor braking time is more than 10 seconds, the wearing parts of the motor brake must be replaced, by the manu-
facturer only.
