Children must be supervised to ensure they do not
play with the machine.
Never open the lever on the machine during the brew-
ing, rinsing, cleaning or descaling processes. When
the process has finished and you open the lever, do
not hold fingers under the outlet - there is a risk of
scalding from drops of residual liquid. When brewing
has finished, open the lever slowly in order to eject
the capsule; take care: do not bend over the capsule
insert opening (danger of scalding due to hot liquid
splashes). Never insert your fingers in the capsule in-
sertion opening - this may result in injury.
Never operate the machine without its drip tray or
drip grating. Do not overfill the water tank. Never lift
the machine by its lever. Store the machine and all its
accessories outside the reach of children.
Never open the machine or insert objects into the ma-
chine openings.
Apart from normal use, cleaning, descaling and ex-
ternal cleaning, all other work such as repairs or re-
placing the mains cord may only be carried out by a
manufacturer authorized Customer Service company in
order to avoid hazards.
Before cleaning the exterior of the machine, unplug
the mains cord and allow the machine to cool down.
Do not clean the machine or the mains cord or the
mains plug with water and do not immerse the ma-
chine in water. Do not clean the machine under flow-
ing water. Never place the machine or its parts in the
dishwasher.
Refer to the instructions for use of all cleaning and
descaling agents before use and comply with the
safety regulations.
Never use a damaged or deformed capsule. Only use
beverage capsules that bear the K-fee® System logo.
Capsules to be used!
Only use original K-fee® System capsules!
Look out for the red K-fee® System logo and the
characteristic, grooved capsule shape!
Using non-original capsules involves the following
risks:
1. Danger to health
Due to differences in brewing technique and capsule
structure, the usage of non-genuine capsules can re-
sult in high pressure releases. Risk of scalding!
2. Danger to the machine and Loss of Warranty
Due to differences in brewing technique and capsule
structure, the use of non-genuine capsules will dam-
age the machine and will immediately render your
warranty VOID.
The manufacturer and its distribution partners can-
not be held liable for any injury or damage as a re-
sult of non-original capsules being used with this
machine.
